About the Church

The House of Megumi, completed in 2019, was established by a Japanese-born American missionary and his family to move to Kokubunji City, after being impressed by the warmth of the land, which led to a desire to create a cafe-like church in the community. We value the teachings of the Bible, value connection with the local people, enjoy the blessings of nature together, and aim for a gathering where we can pray together.
Even if you do not know much about the Bible or the church, if are interested in Christianity, you are more than welcome!
The service is primarily in Japanese, but we also offer a bilingual Sunday school.

About the Missionaries

Greg
Born and raised in Japan as a child of a missionary, I worked as an engineer in Minnesota, USA for 20 years. In 2009, I moved to Japan with my family as a missionary and cultivated a church. My dream is to build a warm house church in Kokubunji. Some of my interests/hobbies include coffee, walking and driving.

Asa
While studying the Bible and counseling in the United States, I met Greg and got married. While raising four children in Japan and the United States, I also became a licensed Musikgarten teacher. I love the Bible, kids and coffee. I also enjoy gardening at the House of Grace.
